Sadness and sorrow for a true brother and friend
Craig McElrath finally came to rest after an epic battle with cancer on the 1st of October 2010, trully one of the greatest guys you could ever meet and a brother to everyone.Craig spent his life growing up in Fiji and fishing the mamanucas, ironically he never caught a marlin. The last fish he was hooeked up on was a marlin a very big one at that on 15lb tackle. He lost that battle and in the ensuing months he also lost his battle with cancer. I am going to write about him alot in the next few updates as he was the main man behind the tropical heatwave, he was the main deckie, and a damn good one at that. There are lots of stories to tell, but the pictures will do most of the talking, he will be missed so much and we will never have another legend like him on the boat again.Rest Gary, rest in peace and keep a watch over the heatwave and the boys who are out there fishing for you.So long my brother....
